Tea and all its wonders....."so, what's so great about this simple beverage"

"Tea is wealth itself, because there is nothing that cannot be lost, no problem that will not disappear, no burden that will not float away, between the first sip and the last.” The Minister of Leaves

That sets the tone for the love, passion and wonder of tea. I don’t proclaim to be an expert on this subject and the voice that I add to this is around my experiences with this wonderful versatile beverage.

Tea has been such an integral part of my everyday routine that it’s hard to imagine life without it. More specifically chai which is what I grew up drinking. There is so much goodness to this unassuming beverage and for me personally, drinking a cuppa almost always just hits the right spot, whether physically, emotionally, spiritually or mentally.

Some Facts About Tea

It is second only to water as the healthiest beverage choice, according to guidelines for healthy beverage consumption that were developed by a panel of American nutrition experts and published in the March 2006 issue of the Journal of American Clinical Nutrition.

This wonderful brew is now recognized as being officially healthy. Health Canada's Natural Health Products Directorate (NHPD) has deemed it to be a natural health product and has officially recognized it for its role in maintaining good health.

Now that I've extolled some of the benefits and magic of this simple beverage, join me on this journey as we explore the wonder of tea.
