Green Tea and Acne

The green tea and acne treatment is another one to add to your list of the many health benefits of this brew. Before I started researching tea, I would never have guessed that green tea had positive effects on your skin.

Green Tea has long been a staple of traditional Chinese medicine, treating many ailments and improving overall general health. It therefore comes as no surprise, that when it comes to skin treatments, green tea is able to offer some relief in the more natural form.

If you are looking for an alternative treatment to acne and healthy skin, you may want to try green tea for acne.

Green Tea is rich in antioxidants and drinking a few cups of green tea a day can help the body rid itself of toxins and promote health and well being, both inside and out.

For acne treatments, green tea can be consumed as a drink.

The other more common treatment is the application of green tea cream. In a study reported to the American Academy of Dermatology, treating acne using green tea cream vs. benzoyl peroxide solution produced similar results. This means that green tea cream is as effective as benzyol peroxide for skin care.

I personally would go for the more natural remedy, which is Green Tea Cream. It is gentler on the skin, it does not dry out the skin or cause irritation which is one of the more common side effects of benzoyl peroxide.
