Ginger and Lemon Grass Tea

Lemon Grass Tea always reminds me of this wonderful Thai restaurant that I go to that’s close to home. We usually have Lemon Grass Tea with our dinner which really compliments Asian food. It has a wonderful fragrance and it feels very cleansing. To give this tea a little bit of zing, add some ginger.

Ingredients

* 6 cups of water
* Stalks of lemongrass, cut into 2 inch pieces or you can use 3 lemon grass tea bags
* 2 inch piece of fresh ginger root, sliced or grated
* 2 tbsp honey (optional)

Preparation

Bring the water to boil
Add lemon grass and ginger
Allow to simmer for about 5-10 minutes
Strain and serve

If using tea bags, follow same directions but add tea bag at the end and allow to steep for a few minutes
